Getting Off to a Great Start
On Mondays, I share my thoughts on Working @ Home.
For many of us who work @ home, today feels like the first "real" day of the New Year since it's the first day we're likely to be back at work, having safely kissed visiting guests goodbye and delivered kids back to school.
We may be heading back to desks covered with piles of unopened mail that sat gathering dust while we enjoyed family and holidays for the past few weeks. And that's ok in my book, since I choose to work from home for exactly this reason - that I could choose to take the past two weeks "off" and spend increased time loving on my kids and husband.
But now it's time to get serious about 2009 and all we stand to gain, to learn, to accomplish and to enjoy this year. I'm so excited about by the prospect of the various projects I am planning for this year - completion of my first book, a more active role in public speaking, and various audio and video projects related to my websites and work.
To help us all start the new year in the right perspective, today I'm recommending that you give yourself a gift and check out Mike St. Pierre's new "e" book "Think Spiritual: Favorite Posts from The Daily Saint on Everyday Spirituality". I've had the opportunity to review Mike's book and can give it my highest recommendation. It synthesizes the great things he teaches over at one of my favorite blogs, The Daily Saint. Click here to check out the ebook. I truly believe in Mike's motto of "Productivity with a Purpose" and feel blessed to have been able to learn as much as I have through his guidance.
What are your work @ home resolutions for 2009 and what are some of the concrete steps you will take to accomplish them?
