Avoid Being a Dud at Home
Over at The Daily Saint, Mike St. Pierre has a great post today where he outlines some very practical tips for avoiding being a dud at work. I thought the list could apply well to home too, so I've simply tweaked a few of his great tips:
1. Wake Early.
2. Be well groomed (especially if you're one of the two teenage men who live in my home!)
3. Send birthday cards to grandmas and thank you notes to those who present you with any gift.
4. Compliment your kids and your spouse.
5. Never surprise your mom with the news that you need two dozen freshly baked cookies on the way out the door to school.
6. Take joy in doing unpleasant tasks (such as cleaning aforementioned sons' bathroom) as a sign of love for your family.
7. Complain less. (I'm working on it, Mike!)
8. Add value to your family.
9. Get the best education you can, both formally in school and informally by being a life-long learner.
10. Keep your soul tidy.

These are great Lisa - thanks. I got here through a round about way - and it's the first time I've visited your blog.
Hope all is well!
